QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR OFFER:

The rugs in our collection are offered in up to three standard sizes: 170 × 255 cm, 200 × 300 cm and 240 × 360 cm.

Our on-demand manufacturing allows us to respond to individual customer requests. If you would like a rug in a different size, please feel free to send us a request via our contact form. However, please note that we can’t offer all of our rug designs in infinite free aspect ratios and proportions due to their graphic structure.

We would also be happy to advise you in a personal conversation.

All rug color combinations have been specifically selected by us so that they harmonize optimally with the respective graphics. Therefore, we have deliberately limited the scope of the color palette we have developed.

In the product configurator you have the possibility to choose from a selection of color combinations.

We would also be happy to advise you in a personal conversation.

Yes, we offer matching color samples for all our rugs and color variants. Since the colors of our rugs may differ from the illustrations on this website we recommend ordering material/color samples before making the final purchase decision. The samples have a format of 12 x 12 cm per color and correspond to the technical structure of our rugs. Our material/color samples provide a binding color and haptic impression of the later product.
Example: If you are interested in a certain color variant of a rug, in which, for example, four colors are used, then you will receive a set of four individual sample pieces of 12 × 12 cm each.

We charge a rental fee of € 25.00 per color set. You can return the color samples to us* within 30 days of receipt and the rental fee will be refunded. If you do not return the color samples to us within 30 days, a contract of sale is created for the ordered color samples and we retain the rental fee as the purchase amount.

Please Note: We are currently revising our sample ordering function. Until then, material/color samples can simply be ordered by email. Please let us know the product number or the name of the rug including the color variant number.

The shipment of the samples takes about 3 to 5 working days within Germany and about 5 to 10 days abroad.

*For shipments within Germany, a free return voucher will be enclosed with the shipment.

QUESTIONS ABOUT MATERIAL, PRODUCTION AND SUSTAINABILITY:

All rugs are manufactured under fair and sustainable working conditions in Germany. The robot tufting process used is particularly resource-friendly and perfectly suited for on-demand production. In this process, the virgin wool yarn spun and dyed in Germany according to our specifications is machine-stitched into a stretched backing cloth and then permanently fixated onto the fabric with a high-quality acrylic binder. For a particularly high durability of the rug, the fixation is additionally sealed by a second coating, in which a cotton fabric is incorporated for reinforcement. Finally, the rug is carefully sheared to obtain an even rug surface. The edges of the backing cloth are folded over by hand and receive a beautiful finish on the reverse side with a sturdy textile band made of cotton.

The pile material that makes up the main part of our rugs is 100 % virgin wool. The wool comes from New Zealand Cross-Breed sheep, which are kept under the criteria of the so-called »five freedoms of animal welfare«. With this form of husbandry, consistent and sustainable attention is paid to the welfare of the farm animals. Last but not least of course »mulesing«-free!

We only use virgin wool without chemical moth protection and therefore recommend regular vacuuming of the rug surface (about once a week). Our yarn is dyed lightfast and thus permanently retains its vibrant colors.

The dispersion acrylic binder we use is water-based, without plasticizers, odorless, very low in emissions (tested according to ISO, DIN and RAL specifications) and flame retardant in the highest fire protection class.

Our backing cloth is a particularly tear-resistant polyester fabric which, unlike natural fiber cloths, perfectly meets the mechanical requirements of the robot tufting process. The special fabric properties also ensure a long service life for our products.

CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUR RUGS:

The surface of your rug is worked as a cut pile. Since wool is not a continuous fibre, there are still short fibre particles in the wool yarn that are not connected to the basic fabric. These individual wool fibres work their way out of the rug surface during the first period of use and are deposited there. The formation of lint is therefore quite normal and does not affect the quality or life span of the rug. It only requires more frequent vacuuming of the rug during the first weeks of use.

We recommend vacuuming the rug once or several times a week with a powerful hoover, depending on the degree of use. This regular maintenance usually removes all kinds of wear and tear and fully restores the pile fibres so that the bold colours and graphic shapes of the rug surface are always brilliantly displayed. When vacuuming, we recommend working in parallel paths and in one direction. This way you will get a homogeneous refraction of the pile surface. By the way, our rugs are produced without the use of chemical moth protection. Regular vacuuming of the entire rug surface is therefore also recommended to prevent potential damage from insects.

In the case of damp stains (e.g. juice or coffee), please absorb as much of the liquid as possible as quickly as possible with a clean, preferably white cotton or microfibre cloth. Afterwards, you can — if necessary — rework the stain with a commercially available, biological stain remover. Always allow solid stains to dry first and then carefully scrape them off with a spoon. Then treat the residue in the same way as damp stains. When removing stains, please do not work on the pile by strong friction, but work by dabbing or gentle friction from the edge of the stain to its centre.

You can safely cut off individual pile threads protruding from the rug pile in the area of the pile height with nail scissors. Please guide the scissors flat over the general pile to avoid damaging the pile surface. Please do not pull on the threads! These threads were previously hidden in the dense pile and were therefore not detected with the final shearing of the rug. They only emerge from the substrate during use and by cleaning with the hoover.

It is not advisable to clean the entire rug yourself beyond the measures described above; this could result in a stained appearance of the rug. Instead, the rug should be professionally cleaned. Because of the acrylic binder used to fix the pile threads, dry cleaning is not recommended. In addition to the use of dry cleaning agents, we recommend the use of the so-called spray extraction method. This is a surface cleaning with a professional cleaning machine using commercially available cleaning agents without mechanical action on the rug pile.

If possible, the rug should be rotated about once or twice a year to avoid »running lines«.
